Description
This variety was developed by Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, South Africa. Arguably unassuming at first glance, but the devil is in the detail for this wonderful plant. Glossy green leaves on the upper-side, but you will detect the intense inky purple/black leaf on their undersides. Flowers normally appear in late summer as the days shorten. If protected from frost they keep going well into the new year. Flowers are sky blue-lavender flecked with inky spots.
